31 week midwife appointment

Yesterday I went to see the midwife, but this was only my second antenatal appointment since being pregnant. When I was pregnant with Amelia, I always went to the hospital for my appointments and they were all booked for me. This time I had to do it myself and go to the doctors, I have to admit I was a bit lazy with booking appointments, but I think I also put off making them due to our previous miscarriages and the fear of being told bad news at an appointment.

I turned up at the doctors and realised that I had forgotten my notes, but the midwife wasn't too bothered. I basically explained my pregnancy through and we got on with the appointment. She measured my tummy to 31 inches and had a feel and listen to baby which she was really happy with although it took her a while to get a clear hearing. I knew Ezra was head down but she confirmed this which makes it feel even more real that he will be here soon.

We discussed the pain that I've been having in my coxis, and I was given a physiotherapists number to call. I've had the pain constantly for 5 days now and can not go on another 9 weeks feeling this uncomfortable so I hope the physio helps! The pain is sometimes unbearable and it's almost impossible for me to actually move.

I also told the midwife that I was supposed to have an anti-D which I'm yet to have - it should be given at 28 weeks I think? They took my bloods and booked me an appointment at the hospital on Saturday to get it done. I have now pre-booked all of my midwife appointments and there's only 4 of them until I'm due! (With any luck I will miss the last one as it's two days after my due date)
