Over the last few weeks Amelia has been using the Munchkin trainer cup and it's become her favourite cup to use. Although this cup is suitable from 6 months, obviously Amelia had to use it as soon as it arrived and it's been impossible to take it away from her since.
This cup is just like an ordinary open cup but it's been designed in a way so that you can't have any spillages. It has been fitted with a spill-proof valve which seals automatically once your child has stopped drinking from it, and due to it's 360° design, they can drink from anywhere around the rim. The cup is made from soft silicone and due to it not having a spout, it's better for little teeths.
This cup comes in two different colours, blue and red or pink and green. It's also fitted with handles to make it easy for those little hands to get a good grip. The Miracle™ 360° Trainer Cup is suitable from 6 months and holds 7 oz liquid but can be upgraded to the The Miracle™ 360° Sippy Cup once your child has successfully transitioned or reaches 12 months.
What we thought
Amelia could already drink from a cup before we received this, but I have to say it is really great not having to clean up her spillages every time I give her a drink. This cup has become her first choice of cup and it's suitable for her to take to bed with her as most of her other cups leak during the night.
The cup is lightweight and easy to carry making it convenient to take out with us where ever we go. I can just throw it in her bag and not worry about it leaking all over her spare clothes, which is especially handy when she is going to nursery. It's simple to open and close making refilling nice and quick. Although due to the size of the cup (and it being suitable from 6 months) we have to refill it a lot for Amelia which can be a bit annoying, especially when we go out she will drink it all before we get to our destination - But this wouldn't be a problem with a younger child who drinks less.
I have noticed that if you fill the cup too close to the top then you get a little dribble out after you have done it up, but again this is something that can be resolved and I don't believe it's a fault in the product as the spill-proof seal really works a treat.
Amelia likes to guzzle her drinks down, and when she normally does it - it creates a right mess as she tips the cup too quickly and pours it all over herself, but this cup is great as she can tip it and drink as quickly as she likes and nothing is going to come out from around the rim.
Overall we are impressed with The Miracle™ 360° Sippy Cup, even with a toddler. It comes with a lot of good qualities including it being lightweight, non-spill and it's really simple to clean too. I would defiantly recommend this to parents who are looking for a product for their transitioning child and believe that it's a great design too as children love bright colours. I also think that the RRP of £4.99 is a really reasonable price for such a handy and convenient product.
