Quotes for positiveness

One of my friends inspired me to write this post, after we had a conversation about how you can connect with certain "quotes" that you see during the day. For example if you are feeling unmotivated for something, and then you see an empowering post saying how you are great, or how you can achieve anything - you somewhat get a sense of "actually, I can do this!" and you get a feeling inside your stomach that makes you feel good, and you start thinking of good ideas and positive thoughts, instead of dwelling on whatever it was that was making you feel bad.

The reason we get this feeling is because we hold on to something that we want, something that makes us feel good but we feel bad or unmotivated while we are waiting for it to come to us. This is life testing you, to see if you are strong enough for whatever it is you want.. during this phase you normally seem to discover if you want to continue fighting for this goal, or perhaps you will come to realise it's not actually the thing that you wanted after all, and then you can change your path.

It's a known fact to some people that affirmations, and positive quotes can help guide you through difficult times, as they can make you feel motivated, understanding and sometimes you can feel them because they say things that you wouldn't normally be able to put into words. You read them and it just kinda makes sense to you. I for one just love that feeling. That feeling of understanding, and knowing that someone else wrote that quote and 100s of other people have read it and connected with it.

This quote is from Buddha, and I really think it's more than a quote, but something we should all consider. People sometimes message me, and they say things like "you're so odd" or they tell me that I have stupid beliefs and although I take no offensive to these things, the only reason they feel that way is because they don't understand me. They say these things because they are confused by me, and they kind of want to understand, but they don't want to ask so instead they for some reason just cite their opinion. I see lots of things, lots that I don't agree with in every day life and in everyone around me. But unless it's totally necessary I feel no need to state my opinion. People think that I just don't speak, but that's not the case I just don't feel the need to speak everything that goes into my mind. This right here is something that we should all teach our children, imaging the beautiful world they would grow if they all followed something as simple as this?

Being somebody who spends a lot of time alone, I really understand this quote and it's just so true. Sometimes we get upset about the fact that people don't invite of us, or we have no plans or nothing fun to do with our friends. But think about it, the only way to learn yourself is to spend time alone, to do things that YOU enjoy, to get comfortable with your own company. Every single person in this world is a separate person from you, and they can decide to leave you at any time in their life, and who's left then? YOU! We seem to get attached to people the way we should be attached to ourselves, but no matter what, you will always be your own number one!

"If you get tired, learn to rest, not to quit"
We spend most of our life being busy, going to work, doing housework, sorting kids, school runs, gym, food shopping etc but we ever make time to rest ourselves. We have a bath and relax our muscles, but sometimes you need more. Sometimes just a day off is enough to mentally get you going again, sometimes a holiday or a pampering sesh. When it comes to it, most of us never quit, we always keep going, but it's nice to have a little quote to motivate you, and say the words that you need at that exact time, when no other humans knows that you need to hear those words!

Here I have another Buddha quote, and one of the main reason I love these quotes is because they are always about kindness, or bettering yourself - which to me is one of the most important things. There are so many ways you can make another persons day better, buying them a coffee, giving a hug, smiling at a stranger, being enthusiastic for them, believing in them, taking time out of your life for other people. It can be the smallest gesture, or the biggest one but just by giving, you automatically get a sense of "oh, I'm glad I could make them feel better." which makes you feel good about yourself! It's good Karma, and Karma is always there!

My last quote is one that can be powerful to every single person. If you wake up in the morning and say this to yourself, and truly believe it then you will start to see the good things that happen around you. When we wake up and instantly feel crappy about the day - the day will feel like it drags on, you will attract bad things into existence as you will be expecting them to happen. If you really try to appreciate the good things every day, then you will start to notice more good things happening around you!
