Nursery update

Today we had Amelia key worker come round to meet her and she was really lovely! (Key worker being her main carer in the nursery.) I can't actually remember her name - how bad is that? But she seemed really nice and Amelia got on with her really well!! She came along with another lady from the nursery who I already knew, and we had to fill in a ton of paperwork.

When they first turned up, Amelia was shy for about a minute but then she realised that they brought a big bag of toys with them. While we were filling in all of documents, Amelia and her key worker sat on the floor and played with cars and puzzles. They both said how confident Amelia is and that she is defiantly ready for nursery, which I already knew. I have no idea where she gets her confidence from, because I tend to hide away as much as I can so Amelia hasn't really been around other children/people that aren't family. They also complimented Amelia's speech which is so lovely to hear.

We made 3 settle in appointments for Amelia starting next week.
The first one is for 45 minutes and I have to stay with Amelia during that time.
The second is 45 minutes again but half way through I had to leave the room and wait in the reception to see how Amelia is without me.
Finally Amelia will attend the nursery for 1.5hours and this will be without me (I'll be in the building.)
I don't think Amelia will need all 3 settle in visits, as she will probably go straight off after the first one and not care if I'm there or not. She officially starts nursery at the end of feb/beginning of march and she really can't wait!!
