Amelia's first day at nursery/Unexpected gifts

So today was the first day that Amelia went to her new nursery. It was only a settle in session so I had to stay with her and it only lasted an hour (it was meant to be 45 but she wanted to stay for fruit.) From the minute we woke up this morning Amelia was asking me when we were leaving to go to school, and when we got there she was jumping around all excited. Once we walked in the room she noticed all the kids playing outside, but instead of joining them she stayed inside and played with Fran (the lady who supervises her.) Amelia didn't really interact with any other children the whole time we were there, she stayed with Fran and occasionally came over to me to show me something or ask me for help.

Amelia did some painting which she loved, she played in the sandpit building sandcastles and had some fruit with all of the other kids. There was only 5 other children in her class which I think is good as she is quite shy around other children. When it was time to leave Amelia didn't want to go, and I had to tell her that we would be back next week and she will be staying longer next time.

When we got home we had an unexpected knock on the door - It was a parcel. Paul said it was addressed to me but I was pretty certain that I wasn't waiting on any deliveries so I was really confused. Paul signed for it and gave it to me. I started opening it and noticed that it was toys and baby clothes, and I was still so confused. Paul then noticed that there was a card in there and the parcel was from my Dad! In the box was a Noah's ark type toy with loads of different animals, some Peppa Pig stamp pens and the cutest most perfect baby outfits. My dad must know me well since I'm obsessed with stars and two of the baby grows have stars on. I haven't seen or spoken to my dad in a couple of months so it was really lovely to have that come for us!
