Here are a few activities you can do to keep them busy during the Easter holidays:
Farm visits -
What's better in spring/Easter then going to a farm and seeing all of the baby animals! Most farms will allow you to feed some of the animals and some even have petting areas which your children are bound to love! Try and plan this day out as you don't want to go on a wet/windy day.
Swimming -
Some kids love swimming, others hate it so this depends on your children. In our case, Amelia loves swimming and it's a great way to tire her out! You can long this out - take the train instead of driving, have your swim and then grab something to eat. By the time you get home your child should be too tired to mess around.
Woodland strolls -
If your kids love being outside, find your local common and take them out for a long walk. Make it fun by getting them to find bits and bobs along the way (acorns, pinecones, birds feathers, flowers etc) and see if you can get them to spot any baby animals along the way. You could even place some eggs along the way and make it into an egg hunt!
Indoor Activities -
You don't necessarily have to go out to entertain your children this Easter. Maybe you could get some crafty bits and make some Easter cards for them to give out. Try a bit of painting, playdough-ing, or even put some washing up liquid in a bowl with food colouring and blow bubble pictures! There are loads of ideas for Easter crafts online. If you feel like having a chill, stick one of their favourite films on in the hope that it keeps their eyes pealed for an hour or so..
Get baking! -
In my recent post about Easter, I mentioned how children love baking and getting messy. You can buy loads of baking boxes for children which have all of the equipment already in them and step by step instructions. Dress your little one up as a chef and get them in the mood for baking some scrummy cakes.
There are loads more activities that you can do to keep your children busy, if you get stuck for ideas try looking online or asking around for ideas. What are your kids favourite activities to do?
