We all know that every pregnancy is different, but is there really any difference between being pregnant with a girl, then there is with a boy? Well I've notice quite a few differences between my pregnancies. Although this is my second child, I've actually been pregnant 4 times and the first 3 all had similar symptoms (two of them being short pregnancies.)
My first pregnancy being successful, the second only lasting approx 4 weeks and the third lasting 8 weeks but I didn't know I had miscarried until 10 weeks. With my third pregnancy, I was told by paramedics that I wasn't pregnant, but I knew I was. All of these three pregnancies made me incredible moody, the first I actually felt very depressed. I also cut wisdom teeth, (which stopped coming through after my miscarriages), had a number of nose bleeds and had constipation during these pregnancies. I believe that I was pregnant with girls each time, and the two that we unfortunately lost were girls. I believe this because being pregnant now, everything is different.
Being pregnant with a baby boy is the best feeling in the world - I've always dreamed of having a little boy, back from when I can remember. I was meant to have a son and now that I'm carrying one, everything feels right. I'm enjoying my pregnancy. I actually feel happy that I'm pregnant. I've had no constipation, no nose bleeds and I haven't cut any wisdom teeth - or even finished cutting them. I had awful heartburn when I was pregnant with Amelia, which this time hasn't been anywhere near as bad. I've put on weight completely differently then I did with Amelia, with her I got really big - I put on 2 stone. My bum/legs/face got really big and I basically gained weight all over. This time all the weight has stayed in my tummy, and my boobs are growing a lot quicker this time! (Hurray)
Don't get me wrong - Amelia is amazing and I love her more then the world, just as much as I will love her brother. I just didn't enjoy the pregnancy, but it defiantly feels different being pregnant with a boy and I am so lucky and grateful to have been gifted with one of each sex!
