I can already see a difference in Amelia since she started. Normally if somebody that she didn't know started talking to her then she would go shy, but now she will happily talk back to them and ask them questions. When I tell her that she has nursery she starts jumping around and singing about going to nursery, and when I pick her up she tells me her little stories about what she done.
She interacts with everybody at her nursery but is quite attached to her key worker, and when she leaves the room Amelia gets a bit upset. Apparently she follows her around which I think is quite cute. The only name that Amelia has picked up from nursery so far is 'Charlotte' and she told me a story about how she was crying because she had a badie.. Amelia tells me that she does painting (which is her favourite), drawing, cutting, playing with ALL the toys, going outside and having some food. It's normally apples and a carton of milk but occasionally she will have grapes, banana or water instead.
Things that I've noticed changing since Amelia was at nursery -
- She 'hides' when she gets herself changed.. I normally have to re-dress her of end up helping her, but she tries to hide away and tells me that I'm not allowed to see her bum. I think this is something to do with when Amelia goes to the toilet at nursery.
- She has started shouting 'tidy up time' whenever I'm trying to get her to help me tidy up - I know they do this at nursery, and if I make it into a game/race about who can tidy up the quickest, she normally helps me.
- Her confidence has already boosted - As I mentioned at the top, she's more happy now to talk to people that she doesn't know that well.
- She has started dressing her baby A LOT and changing their bum, now this is handy as she knows that I will be changing Ezra's bum. She plays with dolly's at home and at nursery and she always tells me how she is going to help me with Ezra once he is born.
- A new found game that she has discovered from nursery is bringing her bedding into the front room and pretending to go to sleep. There are a few children in her class that have naps during the day and they lay on the floor on maps, so Amelia now thinks it's a game and tries to copy.
